It’s more like “Mood Chimes,” notes which vary like chimes blown by the wind. The patterns never repeat and are gentle, soothing, and harmonious. There are 32 "Moods” using a Mix of different instruments, including bells, crystals, kalimbas, glockenspiels, violins, and many others. Audio files of nature sounds are added to
each Mood, and you can edit these Moods or Create your own. You won’t find anything like this in conventional music.
The "iTunes-like" user interface makes using SonicMood a Breeze! The lists of Moods are like iTune's song list, the Themes are similar to iTune's PlayLists.
Just double-click a Mood in the list to play it, press the space-bar to pause, use ⌘↑ and ⌘↓ to change volume and ⌥⌘↓ to mute. You can re-arrange things using "drag & drop," have "Timed" play and "Shuffle" play, use ⌘← and ⌘→ to change Moods. Resize SonicMood's window from small to large, or "Zoom" down to a very compact size. To change the sound of a Mood, or make your own, just Highlight the Mood in the list and press ⌘i, or click the "Edit" button, and let your creativity take over! If you make a mistake it's no problem, just "undo" it!
You can alter nearly every aspect of the sound SonicMood makes. You can choose each musical instrument and the nature soundfiles, vary the note timing, select another musical scale or change key, create your own scale, and move the sounds around in the stereo soundfield. Each Mood can include up to 32 soundfiles, recorded nature sounds to compliment the instrumental sounds.Choose nature soundfiles (rain, thunder, crickets, river, etc.) from the many provided (21 included with the SonicMood download, more in .zip files on our Sharing page), or add your own recorded sounds. Any AIFF, MP3, MP4, etc. file can be played. The sounds can move manually or automatically in the soundfield, just like the musical instruments. Soothing sonic sounds with a sense of motion!
